Chlorinated rubber is a white or pale yellow powdery solid obtained by chlorinating natural or synthetic rubber. It possesses excellent water resistance, corrosion resistance, flame retardancy, and insulation properties, and has been widely used in:marine paints, container paints, road marking paints, anti-corrosion primers, adhesives, etc.

Applications
It can be used as an adhesive to bind many kinds of rubber (NR,IR,IIR, SBR, EPDM, CR,
NBR ,CM) with metals (steel, brass, aluminum). It is available in various viscosity grades. All grades are free from carbon tetrachloride (CTC).
Solubility and Compatibility
It can be stably dissolved in toluene, xylene and other organic solvents, forming a colorless or light yellow transparent solution. It is insoluble in ethanol-aliphatic solvents.
