Cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB) is a thermoplastic cellulose ester with a butyryl content of 30-55 % by weight. It is the most commercially important blended cellulose ester, with many attractive properties such as low viscosity, high clarity and surface gloss, improved resistance to moisture and ultraviolet (UV) light, and excellent intercoating adhesion. CAB is compatible with many resin systems, including most acrylates, polyesters, phenols, ureas, and isocyanates. However, they are generally incompatible with melamine, urea-aldehydes, and many alkynes. Both solubility and miscibility depend on the butyl-group content; Generally, solubility in many resins and solvents increases with increasing butylyl content. For example, CAB resins with high butylyl content are soluble in many mixtures of esters, ketones, glycol ethers, alcohols, and aromatic hydrocarbons. CAB is commonly used in coating formulations that require low application viscosity at relatively high solids content. When added to a coating formulation, it enhances many of the properties of the coating, such as hardness, leveling, solvent resistance, clarity and shine, while reducing dry contact time, pitting, orange streaks and blocking. Because of CAB's superior property, it has many uses in coatings, including metal and wood coatings, gravure and flexographic inks, graphic art, inkjet printing inks, nail paint topcoats, automotive varnishes and primers, and general industrial coatings. In view of the fact that the numbers of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Guangdong Province of P.R. China remain high lately, as well as according to the relevant Government Departments’ requirements on epidemic prevent and control, after careful consideration the Organizers herewith announce that CHINACOAT and SFCHINA2022, originally scheduled to be held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex (CIEFC), Guangzhou, P.R. China from 6th to 8th December 2022, will be rescheduled.  The Organizer can now inform the exhibitions are rescheduled to February 22-24, 2023(Rescheduled Exhibition Date) and is to be held at the original venue of Area A, China Import and Export Fair Complex (CIEFC), Guangzhou, P.R. China. Please take special note that the Rescheduled Exhibition Date at this moment is still subject to re-confirmation and cannot be finalized yet, due to the prevailing pandemic situation in Guangzhou. If the rescheduled exhibitions cannot be held on the rescheduled exhibition date in later time, the exhibitions will be officially cancelled. When the new show date can finally be confirmed, the Organizer will issue a revised timetable with all other related information for exhibitors to prepare for the exhibitions.
