• May 16, 2025 What is the difference between Oleamide and Erucamide (SLIP ADDITIVE)?
Oleamide and Erucamide, though similar in name and use, are significantly different in practical application as important lubricants. Understanding the differences between oleamide and erucamide can help us accurately choose the appropriate materials for various industrial scenarios, enhancing production efficiency. Below is detail the differences between oleamide and erucamide. Name OLEAMIDE (other names: FinaWax O; OleWax; Crodamide; Emerest) ERUCAMIDE (other names: FinaWax E; Emoslip E; EruWax;...) Concept Oleamide is a product of the amide process of fatty acids in nature. Oleamide has many applications in a number of fields, such as: porous structure stabilizer, waterproofing for paper, color dispersion for textile industry, etc. In the field of plastic production, Oleamide is mainly used as a thickening agent. smooth, mold-proof, scratch-reducing, color dispersion, processing aid, etc. Erucamide helps to create a smooth, glossy (easy to open the mouth for Packaging), specialized for blowing grease bags, in addition, it also helps to improve transparency, helps reduce friction (anti-scratch) for ropes, processing aids, easy to separate mold for injection molding products. Molecular Formula C18H35NO C22H43NO Melting temperature: 70-80 ℃ 77– 85 ℃ Effect Oleamide improves the flow of the resin, reduces flow defects, helps to reduce the friction of the resin with the device wall. Therefore, Oleamide also reduces energy consumption and equipment wear. Oleamide migrates to the outer surface of the plastic product, reducing the coefficient of surface friction and reducing the adhesion between the plastic and the metal wall. As a result, Oleamide helps to increase the smoothness, ease of mold separation, and reduce scratches to the plastic. Oleamide is also an ingredient that helps to disperse some colors into the plastic. Oleamide also partially improves the gloss of the product Erucamide improves the flow of the resin, reduces flow defects, helps to reduce the friction of the resin with the device wall. • May 05, 2025 What is BASF Laroflex MP resin?
Laroflex MP resin, with its full name as copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl isobutyl ether, its other name is VC Copolymer MP resin, Vinyl Chloride Copolymer Resin. it is produced by polymerization of vinyl chloride monomer, vinyl isobutyl ether monomer and other raw and auxiliary materials, and mainly used in the anti-corrosive coatings and composite printing inks. It is non-toxic, environmentally friendly, superior in the aspects of flexibility, heat resistance, UV stability, alkali and chalking resistance. Application: MP resin for coatings The Anti-corrosion performance index of MP resin is higher than that of Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene and Chlorinated Rubber coatings, therefore it is widely used in the fields of anti-corrosion coatings: Ø  Industrial anti-corrosion coatings, such as factory buildings, equipment, pipeline, tanks, municipal engineering, piers and harbors, etc. Ø  Marine coatings, applicable to the various parts of the hull, resisting sun exposure and seawater erosion. Ø  Transport paints, such as containers, transport machinery, dangerous chemicals tankers. Ø  Light metals primer, top paint, such as garage doors and windows, roof rain sinks, balcony, lampposts and road crash barriers. Ø  Large-scale key projects, such as bridge, ocean and energy engineering. MP resin for inks As an excellent binding vehicle for composite printing inks, it is used in wide range of fields. MP resin has the following advantages: Ø  Good solubility: Soluble in most of solvents, such as benzenes, acetones and esters commonly used in inks production, in addition, the dissolved solution has a higher degree of transparency. Ø  Excellent blending property: Easily blended with other ink binding vehicles to enhance its working performance, such as CPP, EVA and CEVA resins. Ø  High dispersivity: It has good dispersing and wetting properties to inks and dyes, ensuring the pigments fully display the primary color and transferability. Ø  Superior adhesion: The polymer chains contain a large quantity of ether bonds, which have strong adhesive strength to BOPP, OPP, PET and other plastic film. Ø  Good stability: There is no reactive double bonds, no saponifiable ester bonds in the resin, and the chlorine atoms in the molecular link are very stable. These offer ink layers strong resistance to heat, light, weathering, yellowing and chalking. We are proud to share that Sunman's MP resins have achieved industry-leading standards in both product performance and cost-effectiveness. This product series has successfully replaced the Laroflex MP series from over a decade ago, while obtaining European REACH certification. It has gradually become the product of choice for clientele across Europe, Asia, the Americas, and other continents.

  • Mar 20, 2025 Applications of Chlorinated Polypropylene
Chlorinated polypropylene(CPP) is a versatile material with a range of applications, particularly in industries that require strong adhesion, durability, and resistance to various environmental factors. Below is a detailed overview of the types of chlorinated polypropylene and their applications: Types of Chlorinated Polypropylene (CPP): Low Chlorine Chlorinated Polypropylene (Chlorine Content Below 26%) Applications: Primarily used in the ink and coating industries. Characteristics: Offers good adhesion and compatibility with various substrates, making it suitable for formulations where lower chlorine content is preferred. Benzene-Soluble Chlorinated Polypropylene (Chlorine Content 28%-35%) Applications: Widely used in the ink industry, especially for BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) composite inks. Characteristics: Provides excellent adhesion to polypropylene surfaces and other materials like polyethylene, paper, and foil. Ester-Soluble Chlorinated Polypropylene (Chlorine Content 36%-40%) Applications: Also predominantly used in the ink industry, particularly for applications requiring high chlorine content for better solubility and performance in specific formulations. Characteristics: Similar to benzene-soluble CPP but with higher chlorine content, which can enhance certain properties like flame retardancy and solubility in ester-based solvents. Applications of Chlorinated Polypropylene: Printing Inks: BOPP Composite Inks: CPP is extensively used in the production of inks for BOPP films due to its excellent adhesion properties. It is particularly suitable for packaging materials where strong bonding is required. Formulation Adjustments: Since inks are complex chemical mixtures, the specific type of CPP used may require adjustments in the ink formulation to achieve the desired properties. Plastic and Metal Bonding: Adhesion: CPP's ability to adhere to various materials, including polyethylene, paper, and foil, makes it valuable in industries that require strong bonding between different substrates. Composite Materials: Used in the production of composite materials like PP film-paper and PP film-aluminum, which are commonly used in packaging. Summary Chlorinated polypropylene is a highly adaptable material with significant applications in the printing ink, plastic, and metal bonding industries. Its excellent adhesion properties, combined with resistance to abrasion, saltwater, and aging, make it particularly valuable in the production of packaging materials and composite films. The different types of CPP, categorized by their chlorine content and solubility, allow for tailored use in various industrial applications, ensuring optimal performance in each specific context.
