Polyketone resin is a kind of hard resin with high photostability. It’s non-toxic and light-coloured. And it’s soluble in any solvent used in coating industry except for fatty alkane and water. It also can be mixed and solved with many resins used in paint and ink. So it can raise paint’s and ink’s properties greatly, such as glossiness, adhesion, pigment wettability, hardness of surface layer and system’s solid content.
Ketone resin, also known as polyketone resin, ketonic resin or ketone-aldehyde resin, is the condensation of cyclohexanone and formaldehyde containing carbonyl and hydroxyl groups. It shows excellent compatibility with almost coating/printing raw materials and soluble in almost organic solvents.
Ketone Resin AHR-120 is non-toxic and light-coloured. It can be mixed and solved with many resins used in paint and ink. It can raise paint’s and ink's properties greatly, such as glossiness, adhesion, pigment wettability, hardness of surface layer and system's solid content. Furthermore, it can reduce system' s viscosity.
Ketonic Resin has a wide application in ink industry. It has a good name of “universal resin” in plastic flexo printing ink.
It is an aromatic linear thermoplastic solid resin with excellent compatibility with most solvent-based inks and coatings, non-aqueous UV systems. This product has excellent stability in the UV system but not suitable for alcohol solvent systems.
