• Jun 09, 2021 Usage of Chlorinated EVA Resin
Chlorinated EVA (CEVA) resin is a white or yellowish granular or blocky solid. It is manufactured from the raw material of EVA through chemical modification. It can be dissolved in organic solvent like toluene, ester, etc. Chlorinated EVA (CEVA) resin has been widely used in composite ink for high grade plastics in order for improving the ink’s adhesive strength, ink property, glossiness and the pigment’s dispersilbility, wettability and cold resistance, etc. CEVA is a good binder for plastic products. It is applicable to high grade ink, additives for treatment of fibers, paint for biaxial tension polypropylene film and laminating agent for polyethylene / polypropylene films. Sunman could adjust the viscosity of differenct range as the customer's request. So any questions, pls let us know.

  • May 26, 2021 Introduction of CPP resin
Sunman’s CPP resin is a thermoplastic resin produced by the chlorination of polypropylene. It is a non-toxic white or light yellow granular solid and can be easily soluble in organic solvents such as chlorinated hydrocarbons, toluene, butanone or other mixed solvent. And it has high hardness and good properties of wear-resistance, acid-resistance, salt water resistance and aging- resistance. Chlorinated polypropylene is produced by means of trichloromethane solvent method in the production process, which dissolves polypropylene in the solvent, and then passes into chlorine gas for chlorination reaction. After the chlorinated solution is removed, the chlorinated polypropylene solution is obtained, and the chlorinated polypropylene solution is dried and granulated to obtain chlorinated polypropylene products. Our CPP resin has strong adhesive force on polypropylene, polyethylene, paper and aluminium coating. Therefore it is widely used in printing ink, coating and adhesive field. Its main uses are as following: 1 It is used as main resin compound printing ink production for BOPP thin film. 2 It is used as main resin for adhesive production, such as, adhesive for BOPP thin film and paper, inner coating of BOPP thin film pressure sensitive tape. 3 Because of fine film-forming property and gloss, it is used as coating in polypropylene PEPP.

  • May 15, 2021 What types of printing are used for flexible packaging?
Flexible packaging has now become popular in various industries ranging from consumer products to industrial applications. Both flexographic and gravure printing methods are used for flexible packaging printing. From an ink point of view, inks for flexible packaging can be divided into surface printing inks and lamination inks. For the most part, flexographic and gravure inks share the same raw materials, so for this matrix we will group both printing methods together. Types of Flexible Packaging Inks: 1. Lamination Inks Lamination is the process of combining two or more substrates to form a tough packaging structure to hold and provide barrier protection for the contents. Lamination can be accomplished with adhesives (adhesive lamination) or with molten plastic (extrusion lamination) that acts to adhere to the packaging films together. Lamination inks are typically sealed inside the lamination structure so that the ink surface is not exposed to the outside, however, the inks must still exhibit excellent adhesion to the film on which they are printed and they must not interfere with the bonding of the lamination films. 2. Surface Printing Inks High gloss Excellent rub resistance Resistance to a number of different external elements, such as water, solvents, detergents and other materials that may come into contact with the printed surface These type of inks uses a protective overprint varnish in order to increase the surface resistance and impart the desired C.O.F. and gloss
